Job Description
The Cook position prepares appetizing meals for patient tray service and guests in the cafeteria. Oversees kitchen operations in the absence of Nutrition Services Manager/Supervisor.
Work Schedule: M-F - 10:00 am to 7 pm - varying days and every other weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in hospital or nursing home setting or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of modified recipes for special diets
- Ability to read write and follow oral instructions
- Basic cooking skills
- Ability to be on feet 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent prior equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of diploma
