We are currently seeking an organised detail oriented Rostering Officer to join our administrative team.
About the Role:
As our Rostering Officer you will be responsible for creating and managing effective staff rosters to ensure the delivery of consistent high-quality care. You will work closely with clinical and care staff HR and management to meet workforce needs while complying with award requirements leave entitlements and operational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily and fortnightly rosters using Mirus software.
- Ensure adequate shift coverage and manage last-minute changes or absences
- Coordinate with managers and team leaders to understand staffing needs
- Monitor and manage staff availability leave requests and shift preferences
- Ensure compliance with workplace agreements policies and relevant legislation
- Maintain accurate staff records and contribute to payroll processes as needed
- Communicate rosters and changes to relevant staff in a timely manner
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in rostering scheduling or workforce coordination (preferably in aged care or healthcare)
- Knowledge of aged care standards regulations and accreditation processes.
- Knowledge of Fair Work Act and ability to interpret industrial agreements to ensure compliance with best practice rostering.
- Strong computer skills with experience using rostering systems (e.g. Mirus Kronos Allocate RosterOn)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
