OUR ROLE

As our new Lead Engineer you will provide technical expertise and support to xAmplifys Managed Service clients including monitoring provisioning repairing and maintaining server storage and cloud systems software and devices in the enterprise. They will receive incidents and service requests from the xAmplify service desk(s) client service desks authorized high-level technical contacts as well as via Agile ceremonies such as a backlog of activities.

The Lead Engineer will apply their knowledge and expertise to resolve problems and faults with the most appropriate resolution and where not able to find a resolution will ensure that the case is routed to the appropriate resolution group or escalated to the Technical Team Lead.

As a member of our Managed Services Technical Services team you will be part of delivering across our diverse client group that spans Federal Government Defence and Private Sector.

This will include but not be limited to:

Perform operations/maintenance tasks in the cloud server storage and network areas

Operate using Agile DevSecOps and Infra as code methdologies

Documenting Systems Engineering artefacts Document and review of Systems Engineering artefacts

Root Cause Analysis and Resolution Conduct root cause analysis of technical issues identify and implement appropriate solutions

Client Support Provide point of technical escalation for service desk clients

LOCATION & HOURS

This role has a requirement to regularly operate from on a client site which is located in Canberra ACT. There are hybrid flexible working arrangements. Since a regular onsite presence is required we are seeking candidates based in Canberra only. You will also need to have the flexibility to provide support coverage outside of normal business hours if required as this role will be part of an on-call roster.

KEY ELIGIBILITY

As you will be working to a Federal Government client we are seeking Australian Citizens who have an active NV1 or higher security clearance.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We value:

3-5 years experience working within the Information Technology sector

Demonstrated experience in cloud network and storage administration complemented by a strong background in systems engineering and end-user support including service desk operations.

Previous experience in Federal Government environment will be highly valued

Demonstrated technical knowledge of IT systems networks and applications

Experience in driving continual services improvement outcomes

A team centric leadership approach

Strong communication skills including written verbal and presentation

A high level of organisation time management with the ability to adapt and respond promptly to changing and competing priorities at short notice

Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to think laterally and propose solutions

Excellent client relationship building and management skills with the ability to deal with various stakeholders and translate their needs into a complete solution

Self-starting with the ability to drive your own actions whilst also working as part of a team
