Minimum Qualifications:
APRN
Masters Degree in Nursing
Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas;
2 Years of Nursing experience
APRN License
PA
Masters Degree in Physician Assistant studies
2 years of PA experience
Physicians Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Arkansas Medical Board or be certification eligible.
Certified as a Physicians Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
PLUS
Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e. scales procedure equipment needles blood pressure equipment and EKG machines).
Must have normal communication and sensory requirements.
Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated.
Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities:
Extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians.
Provide comprehensive health assessments determine diagnoses
implement treatment plans prescribe medical treatments and manage health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician(s)
Work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate.
Coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients facilitating all necessary consults assuring that care is timely and appropriate.
Other duties may be assigned to this position.
