The Team
At Avaus youll work at the intersection of business data and technology. Our consultants are trusted advisors and hands-on problem solvers. We turn data into insights build intelligent solutions and enable personalised customer experiences often within complex multi-cloud environments.
Youll be surrounded by talented specialists in strategy analytics martech and data engineering and youll be encouraged to constantly learn and grow together.
The Role
As a mid-level data science consultant your focus is both technical and consultative. Youll help clients solve real business problems using data not just by building models but also by advising on whats possible feasible and impactful.
We see an agentic future and it is a huge plus if you come with curiosity or experience in agentic workflows (e.g. autonomous agents orchestration of LLMs/tools or AI-led decision processes).Were increasingly building capabilities in this area and were looking for people who want to grow with us.
Youll work on:
Designing and implementing machine learning models and experiments
Translating business needs into analytical solutions
Exploring new data sources and automating analysis
Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Avaus and client organisations
Advising on the use of data and AI to drive business outcomes
Reporting to show-case the results we create for our clients
Who are you
Youre a curious analytical problem-solver who wants to grow into a trusted advisor. You understand that data science is as much about people processes and priorities as it is about code. You value impact over elegance and progress over perfection.
We believe you have:
A Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering computer science mathematics)
Solid knowledge of Python and open-source data science libraries
Experience with machine learning techniques and experimentationFamiliarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud Microsoft Azure) and modern data tools (e.g. Looker Snowflake)
Comfortable working with SQL and databases
Experience or interest in recommender systems agentic workflows or autonomous AI tools
Fluent in English and Swedish
Practical Information
Our office is located at Renstiernas gata 12 and we have a flexible hybrid work model where we both work from our office the client offices and home sometimes. Well agree on the starting data and it is a permanent position with a 6 months probation period. You will report to the Head of Delivery and be in the Data & Analytics competence team.
