Job Description
A strong family-owned manufacturing operation with over 60 years of tradition in the Topton PA area is searching for a dynamic Drafting Engineer to play a key part in leading the company into the future. Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit Request for Quotation documents to external vendors
- Determine material and labor requirements for all jobs
- Develop process steps and assemble job travelers from a standards database and submit to manufacturing
- Review estimates for detail and accuracy. Adjust as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read/interpret technical drawings
- CAD/ Solid Works
- Strong attention to detail
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma
- An associate degree / Technical school certificate in a related field is desirable
- CAD/Solid Works experience required
- 3 years experience in an Estimating Drafting role for a manufacturing company
- A fabricated metal manufacturing environment is a plus
