Job Description

Job Description: Sonographer (Nights)

Location:

Burlington Vermont United States

Job Type:

Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort during ultrasound procedures.
  • Ensure all ultrasound equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Review and evaluate images for quality and completeness.
  • Document findings accurately in patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare personnel to discuss ultrasound findings and recommendations.
  • Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate from a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Radiologic Technology or a two-year allied health equivalent.
  • ARDMS registered with an ABD or OB/GYN credential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of paid scanning experience.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in a level I trauma center is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR is advantageous.
