Job Description
- full scope of practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist providing care to the patients within the Western Zone
- participating in call and able to respond to urgent matters within 20 minutes of being called
- provide support to your own site but also to others in the Western Zone if required which will include day-time coverage and occasional overnight/weekend coverage
- responsible to the Zone Department Head for Obstetrics & Gynecologist for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
Expected Hours
- 0.8 FTE Permanent
- On-Call Participation - 1:7
Qualifications :
- candidate must be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- membership with Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
