Job Description
Machine Shop Supervisor
Location: Tyler TX
Pay: $90000 - $95000 annually depending on experience.
Schedule: MondayThursday 5:00 AM 3:00 PM; Friday shift as needed.
What Youll Do:
- Supervise hourly personnel operating CNC and manual lathe machines.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Train machinists in proper CNC programming and manual machine operation.
- Monitor and approve employee time in UltiPro for payroll processing.
- Manage production schedules and control labor costs.
- Plan and coordinate production activities for optimal efficiency.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure PPE compliance.
- Recommend changes to machining methods to improve quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Lead and support team members to meet safety training and production goals.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Tooling Manager.
Qualifications :
- Extensive knowledge of CNC programming and manual lather machines required.
- Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Secondary education in engineering preferred but not required.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to wear required PPE.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
