Job Description
Senior Accountant reports to the Finance Manager in Ostrava. The main purpose of the role is execution of the accounting duties of the Czech entity.
Responsibilities
- Prepares accountings entries maintains all balance sheet accounts & income statements reconciliation and prepares any related analysis
- Prepares tax provision (CIT) monthly VAT returns manages tax audit and supports external consultant for annual tax return preparation
- Supervises the month end process to meet all deadlines
- Manages the statutory audit and support for any requirement for the Group Audit
- Monitors compliance with corporate accounting policies and ensures internal controls are maintained
- Prepares any required regular or ad hoc reporting for external compliance and internal requirements
Qualifications :
Education:
- graduate: Master or Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or similar (Economy Administration)
Experience:
- 3 years of experience as independent accountant in an international organization
- Experience in managing audits
- Experienceusing an ERP D365 is an asset
Skills:
- Good level in English and Czech language written & spoken
- Good foundation in accounting and tax related matters
- An asset: knowledge of Czech accounting and tax regulations
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite advanced knowledge in Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multi-tasking
- An excellent sense of initiative and strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Strong organizational planning and time management skills
- Occasional work with colleagues in different time zones
- Ability to travel to office in Ostrava (Czech Republic) within agreed time frame
- Hands-on approach (proactive and engaged approach to tasks direct involvement in daily tasks)
- Eager to learn more about Czech accounting and tax regulations
