Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Director of Instructional Technology the Instructional Technology Support Specialist will provide pedagogical assistance to faculty using a variety of instructional technologies to improve learning outcomes in Traditional Undergraduate (TUG) courses. The Instructional Technology Support Specialist will assist faculty in the development courses and provide quality assurance reviews for these courses and programs as well. The Instructional Technology Specialist will research emerging instructional technologies track and distribute content through Master courses and implement learning solutions suitable for academic programs as needed.Job Status:

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional design consultation to faculty for the development of learning materials that leverage technologies to improve student learning outcomes as appropriate for TUG
Collaborate with faculty to implement a variety of instructional technologies in courses and programs as pedagogically appropriate
Work with departments and individual faculty members to provide ongoing and systematic support for the delivery of courses by creating and maintaining and distributing Master course content for departments that request this service.
Conduct quality assurance reviews (to include ADA accessibility compliance) for courses and work with faculty to implement suggested revisions
Provide training and support to faculty and staff using the LMS introducing new instructional technologies and addressing emerging course design issues
Research and identify technology trends in the field
Research and identify best practices in the field
Collaborate and communicate with other support personnel in the deployment of instructional technology
Qualifications:
Certification in Instructional Technology Educational Technology Adult Learning Education or related area of study (Masters degree preferred)
At least two years of instructional design or course design and teaching experience.
Knowledge of ADA compliance for accessible course design. Understanding of the WCAG 2.1 standards is preferred
Experienced Learning Management System (LMS) administrator with a working knowledge of Canvas preferred
A working knowledge of HTML
Knowledge of Adult Learning theories is preferred.
Proficient in Windows Word Excel PowerPoint Google Doc Sheets and Slides and other common software packages
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team negotiate and deliver projects according to established timelines.
A strong commitment to excellence in work done and passionate about giving quality service to the campus community
A goal-oriented individual who is self-motivated diligent solution-oriented and exhibits a high energy level
Demonstrated the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
