Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Worcestershire to assist with the appointment of a Team Manager on a 5-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 25.02 - 40.42 per hour

Summary:

Worcestershire Children First is seeking a passionate and experienced Team Manager to lead a Locality Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an established Team Manager or an experienced Social Worker ready to take the next step. You will lead supervise and inspire a small team of up to six social workers including newly qualified (ASYEs) delivering high-quality child protection and safeguarding services that ensure better outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of up to six social workers to deliver effective safeguarding and child protection services.
  • Oversee complex Child in Need (CiN) plans Child Protection (CP) cases and both private and public law proceedings.
  • Chair Strategy Meetings and Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and practice standards.
  • Support the professional development and performance of your team including regular supervision case discussions and staff appraisals.

Requirments:

  • Social Work qualification (BA MA DipSW or equivalent)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in childrens social work
  • Proven experience of working within child protection and court processes
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Experience of mentoring coaching or supervising other staff members
  • Experience of leading or chairing complex meetings and multi-agency forums

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
