Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Review Officer - Housing on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 23.24 - 29.00 per Hour
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Review Officer with a strong background in housing law particularly regarding the Housing Act 1996 (Parts 6 and 7). This is a remote role with occasional office attendance required. An immediate start is essential due to the urgent nature of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake statutory reviews under Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
- Conduct complex housing investigations and provide legally robust decisions.
- Liaise effectively with solicitors legal representatives and other stakeholders.
- Work independently and manage a personal caseload efficiently.
- Ensure decisions are well-documented legally sound and delivered within set timeframes.
Essentials:
- In-depth knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and relevant case law.
- Proven experience in conducting housing reviews and writing detailed legal decisions.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage complex cases from start to finish.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills especially when dealing with legal representatives.
- Legal housing or public sector qualification or relevant experience is highly desirable.
