Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rhondda Cynon Taf to assist with the appointment of a Team Practice and Development Manager on a 2-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 37.00 - 49.28 per hour

Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Practice and Performance Manager to join the East Learning Disability Team at RCTCBC. This role covers the Pontypridd to Aberdare/Hirwaun area supporting adults with learning disabilities. The team operates remotely with one office day per week at Ty Elai Williamstown Rhondda and includes Principal Social Workers Social Workers and Care and Support Practitioners.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership management and coordination to the Social Work team.
  • Formally line manage team members promoting evidence-based practices and innovation.
  • Deliver professional supervision and performance appraisals to support development and high-quality service delivery.
  • Prioritise referrals and allocate cases following established protocols and standards.
  • Support the completion of quality assessments and risk analysis based on best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation policies procedures regulations and standards.
  • Adhere to Cwm Taf Morgannwg Safeguarding Boards safeguarding procedures.

Essentials:

  • Proven experience in managing social work teams within adult services.
  • Strong understanding of legislation and best practices in learning disability and adult social care.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to support professional development.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding policies and statutory responsibilities in a social services context.
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Basic DBS
