Job Description

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (Civil Litigation with Insurance Defense focus) Hybrid

Associate Attorney needed in Hartford CT for civil litigation and insurance defense. Ideal candidates have 3-8 years of experience in areas like Insurance Defense Professional Liability and Medical Malpractice. Flexible work-from-home options. Pay ranges from $105000 to $130000.

Responsibilities

As a civil litigation attorney you will manage your own cases from start to finish including drafting legal documents and meeting deadlines. Your responsibilities will also involve preparing for and attending depositions hearings and trials gaining important courtroom experience.

In this role you will work closely with clients experts and attorneys to create litigation strategies. You will conduct research and also manage cases while working with experienced partners and senior attorneys which will help you improve your skills in a supportive environment.

Experience Desired

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the Connecticut Bar or a qualifying UBE score for admission.
  • 3 to 8 years of litigation experience preferably in insurance defense or a related field. Clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in drafting and arguing motions conducting legal research and handling discovery requests.
  • Experience with mediations arbitrations trials and hearings is important along with strong advocacy skills.
  • Attention to detail prioritization and effective communication are essential for success in this role.
