Job Description
Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh nutritious foods for many New York families. For the last seven years we have built a high volume food service catering and delivery business. Throughout that time we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children food pantries and the broader community. We have also pursued our vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system. We spent the majority of our energies during the COVID Pandemic serving NYC City Agencies in the provision of food for the underserved as well as non-profit agencies throughout NYC.
Our mission is to build a more sustainable and equitable food system starting by reconnecting consumers and local farmers. We believe the results of strengthening that connection are better nutrition more tasty food greater social justice and reduced environmental impacts. Our menus reflect this attention to bringing nutritious delicious food to those who need it most.
What Youll Do:
- Reading order sheets pick and packing daily deliveries or prepared ready to eat food based on the order sheet
- Inspect orders to ensure accuracy and quality
- Rotating between the hot and cold kitchen prescribing heating time temperature and location for retherm of all deliveries by using your knowledge of food safety and temperature degradation that occurs during delivery
- Work as a team with the pick & pack and dispatch team to ensure all orders are accurate and organized for delivery
- Organizing cooler and dry storage areas by the First in First Out principle
- Comply with all company policies rules & regulations regarding safety personal hygiene (GMPs) operational methods and food safety guidelines
- Ensuring quality is maintained during pick and pack (hot food cold food) process
- Strong communication skills with team
Who You Are:
- Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID with proof of vaccination (Required)
- Must have Food Handlers Certification (Preferred)
- Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time
- A self-starter and problem-solver spirit with extreme attention to detail
- Experience working on teams and enjoy being a team player
- Interest in being part of a growing company trying to bring a fresh take on pre-packaged meals

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday through Friday Weekend Availability Required Early morning shifts (5 AM start time)
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
