All (United States of America)Unarmed Security Officer - Mercy Health Youngstown
Performs duties under general direction responsible for monitoring all areas of the hospital in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients visitors and associates. Monitors parking facilities pedestrian and vehicular traffic in accordance with hospital policy.
Job Functions:
- Conducts periodic fire drills; routine safety inspections; fire prevention and checks of fire extinguishers.
- Responds to all fire alarms (participate as a fire team member). Follows all procedures as assigned.
- Responds to all emergency situations in order to resolve any incident which could result in harm; call for any appropriate outside agency as necessary.
- Maintains customers rights (confidentiality privacy safety security and decision making).
- Interacts with customers who may include patients physicians coworkers and visitors in a manner that exemplifies the hospitals mission and core values.
- Monitors and promotes compliance with all hospital policies (solicitation smoking parking lot patrol & visiting hours) securing entrances at designated hours.
- Conducts investigation of all items reported lost and/or stolen.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Must possess valid drivers license.
Must complete certification inthe Useof Force program and crisis intervention other training as required.
Preferred:
Certification(s):Certified in PPCT and handcuffing techniques. BLS certified;
3 years experience of in Law Enforcement Military or Correction.
