Job Description

THE POSITION

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older adults The Perry County Area Agency on Aging is looking for a compassionate and committed Aging Care Manager 1 to join our team. In this rewarding role you will be at the forefront of providing support and resources to older adults in need of protective services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this essential position you will engage in professional development and hands-on training that will equip you to identify needs for protective and supportive services for older adults who have experienced abuse exploitation or neglect. Your responsibilities will include entering needs assessments into a statewide database reviewing and analyzing protective service records and preparing necessary case documentation. You will gather information from consumers their families neighbors and other relevant individuals to identify social economic emotional health or physical needs facilitating access to various services for older adults in accordance with established policies and procedures. Additionally you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the protective services program and provide information and referrals to older adults regarding available support and services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday - Friday with a 60-minute lunch.
  • May have to work on-call as needed
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • A bachelors degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences behavioral sciences human services or a closely related field;or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits
