Our Tom Fitzgerald Aged Care Home offers affordable high-quality accommodation and care to people aged 50 years and over. We provide a safe flexible and caring family-style environment which allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be.
Your new role:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our residential team at our Tom Fitzgerald Residential Aged Care on a Casual Basis. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents.
In this role youll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition
- Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
- Liaising with medical practitioners pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
- Assisting the RN1 with clinical requirements of residents
- Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
- Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required
- Providing emotional support to residents.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Ability to work both in team and autonomously
- Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
- Prior experience in housing & homelessness support aged carewelfare disability support mental health orcommunity/home care
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to enhance or maintain our residents independence and lifestyle
- A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
