Job Description
Looking for a summer of fun friendship and an opportunity to grow self-esteem for hundreds of children If you love the water superheroes mermaids and kids you will love SwimRVA Camps. The Camp Counselor will help ensure that the campers have fun and stay safe during camp. Our camp team mission is to build campers self-confidence by creating a fun and inviting learning environment to ensure a positive experience.
The mission of SwimRVA is to elevate swimming in the Richmond region making water safety and aquatic fitness more accessible to all. SwimRVA believes our strength and impact is driven by our people. We invest in the growth and development of our team members in order to grow our impact.
The SwimRVA Camps Counselor job duties:
- Participate in implementation of program activities for campers
- Supervise and interact with campers to promote engaging programs and activities
- Communication with camper to help build relationships and promote teamwork
- Be able to promote safety and security for all campers at all times
Qualifications:
- A positive attitude and work ethic
- A love for children and the ability to relate well with them
- Ability to communicate effectively with campers and staff
- Be able to fully participate in all indoor and outdoor activities
- Previous camp and /or swimming experience preferred
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Salary/ Benefits:
- Part-Time Seasonal position
- Starting salary at $14.25/hour
