As a Data Scientist you will:
- Design develop and implement optimization models to solve complex business problems in an enterprise or commercial setting.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists engineers and business stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Apply your knowledge of Operations Research techniques using solvers such as Gurobi (preferred) CPLEX or COIN-OR.
- Write clean modular and well-documented Python code following object-oriented principles and clean code best practices.
- Support the development deployment and industrialization of analytical applications into production environments.
- Use visual debugging tools such as VS Code or PyCharm for efficient code troubleshooting.
- Manage code using Git and contribute to CI/CD pipelines involving Docker and fundamental DevOps practices.
- Work with SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL MSSQL) for data extraction and manipulation.
- Communicate complex technical topics in a simple clear and effective manner tailored to different audiences including non-technical stakeholders and management.
- Demonstrate proactive and independent problem-solving skills while working in a fast-paced international and agile environment.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 6 8 years of experience in Operations Research roles within enterprise or commercial environments.
- A Master s degree in Operations Research Applied Mathematics Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Proven expertise in developing and scaling optimization models using solvers such as Gurobi CPLEX or COIN-OR.
- Strong proficiency in Python (object-oriented programming and clean code principles).
- Hands-on experience with at least one SQL dialect.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
- Experience with Jira CI/CD pipelines Git and Docker.
- Exposure to simulation and data visualization tools is considered a plus.
You should possess the ability to:
- Approach complex problems with a structured mindset and deliver scalable optimization solutions.
- Clearly explain and visualize complex technical concepts for different audiences.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively in a team environment.
