Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our development team and contribute to the design development and maintenance of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience using Java and Spring Boot with familiarity in modern development tools CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments (preferably GCP).
Requirements
- Design develop and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Write clean efficient and testable code following industry best practices.
- Integrate APIs third-party services and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka).
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous code quality improvement.
- Utilize Bitbucket for source control and contribute to CI/CD workflows.
- Ensure application security and quality using tools like SonarQube and Snyk.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using Grafana and logging tools.
- Work in an Agile development environment and actively participate in sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 10 years of hands-on experience in Java development
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Kafka for asynchronous processing
- Experience with version control systems like Bitbucket
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and processes
- Understanding of secure coding practices code quality tools (SonarQube Snyk)
- Basic experience with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana Cloud Logging
- Exposure to GCP or any cloud platform is a plus
- Good problem-solving communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Python for scripting or automation
- Exposure to Terraform or cloud infrastructure concepts
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)
