Job Description
Elementary School Guidance Counselor
Qualifications- Holds a Masters Degree in School Counseling from an accredited college or university. Meets the Maine DOE Certification requitrements for a School Counselor (075).
Reports to: Buidling Principal/Director of Student Services
Job Goals:
1- Guidance curriculum- provide developmentally appropriate guidance conten in a systematic way to all students.
2. Individual planning- assisst sutdnets in planning monitoring and managing their educational presonal/social and career development goals.
3. Responsive services- address the immediate concerns of students- intention being to provide precention intervention and referral as needed.
4. System support- particpate in program staff and school support activites and and leadership in programs delivery and in crisis situations.
