Job Description

Hamilton Wenham Regional School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an academic skills program in a K-5 elementary school. Responsibilities include:Development and implementation of IEPs for a small group of students withingrade levels 2-5Ongoing data collection ability to analyze data and adjust instruction accordinglyAssessment of students across academic areas for to analyze testing information and write a thorough evaluation report providing recommendations to support student growth across all academic areas. Implementation of specialized curriculum for all academic areasDevelopment and implementation of positive behavior support plans as neededImplementation of social skills instruction in conjunction with SLP/School CounselorConsultation/collaboration with classroom teachersSupervision of teaching assistantsOngoing parent communicationJob Requirements:Masters degree preferred Current DESE licensure as Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8) Experience teaching ELA and Mathematics curriculum preferredTraining in high quality research-based reading programs preferredExperience with standardized testing batteries and writing comprehensive evaluation reports (ie: KTEA WIAT CTOPP TOWL TOWRE) preferred
