Job Description

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education; Special Education Supervisor; Special Education and Classroom Teachers JOB MISSION:To facilitate the progress of the student(s) toward the goals stated in the individual educational plans under the direction of Special Education and Classroom Teachers. To provide other instructional and clerical assistance as required by the Special Education and Classroom RESPONSIBILITIES:provide academic support and reteaching in or out of the classroomsupport teacher with instruction and progress monitoringsupport the teacher with general classroom dutiesstudent support for executive functioning and organizationbehavioral support for students needing redirection including removal from classroomstudent is hearing-impaired but does not require sign languagestudent has physical or neurological impairmentSupervision of students for safety on playground in cafeteria at arrival and dismissal as assignedAssist with data collection academic and behavioralAssist students with toileting in Pre-K and K levels SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NONETERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Salary and work year in accordance with current Longmeadow Educators Association (Unit F) and Longmeadow School Committee Agreement.
