Job Description
Our Bistro Evening Attendants are friendly and hospitable; they ensure that drinks and food are made to our guests liking. Our bistro attendants are always organized calm and friendly going above and beyond to make sure our guests have the best experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and looking for an entry level position into the culinary and bartender profession this may be just the job for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely friendly and efficient manner.
- Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal state local and company laws and regulations.
- Present menu answer questions and make suggestions regarding drinks food and service.
- Prepare guest food orders to Marriott Standards.
- Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
- Present and serve beverages and food to guests.
- Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meal has been completed.
- Accurately total process and collect payments from guests to include but not limited to using the point-of-sale system handling money processing credit and debit cards making change and processing gift certificates cards and vouchers.
- Clear and reset counters and tables at conclusion of each guest.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout shift practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
- Stock and maintain the bar to include but not limited to beer wine spirits paper products straws and stirrers condiments glassware ice and produce.
- Work with the hotel team to create and deliver a memorable service experience for guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to mix common cocktails.
- Knowledge of food service regulations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required.
- Able to easily and quickly lift and carry heavy trays.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick resolution to guest issues in accordance to the brand standards.
- Excellent conflict-resolution skills.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Able to prioritize organize and manage multiple tasks.
