QUALITY AND OHS MANAGER (SIGNALING)

As a Quality and Occupational Health and Safety Manager you will act as an important liaison betweencustomers quality inspectors and suppliers. You are responsible for achieving contractually definedquality targets ensuring the issuance of the Safety Authorization on time and coordinating all qualityactivities throughout the project.
Key Activities - Identify all contractual quality requirements and consolidate quality targets and deliverables ofsubsystems.
- Develop and oversee the execution of the Quality Assurance Project Plan and associated procedures based on customer standard and statutory requirements as well internal factoryrequirements.
- Support and coordinate the Design for Quality cycle for all levels (System and Subsystems)
- Responsible for the Customers Resident Inspector to coordinate all his/her requests
- Create and maintains 8D 5 Why and NCRs; when applicable
- Support and/or execute the First Article Inspections (FAI) required for the project
- Work closely with Project Management to ensure all project and company objectives arefulfilled
- Implement worksite installation construction testing and commissioning quality tasks ensuring compliance with project standards
- Develop implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures that comply withlocal state and federal regulations
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement correctiveactions
- Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipmentintroductions
- Serve as the point of contact for employees management and regulatory agencies on healthand safety matters
- Record keeping OSHA logs
Qualifications - Bachelors Degree in relevant field (e.g. engineering quality management projectmanagement)
- 6 years experience in Quality Management within rail transit or complexengineering projects
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems standards and methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to the industry (e.g. ISO 9001 15 FTAElements IRIS CMMI ECM)
- Organizational technical writing and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- OSHA 30 Certified (30-hour general industry)
