Covenant Ability Network of Minnesota (CANMN) is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality person-centered services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rooted in compassion dignity and community we empower individuals to live full and meaningful lives through engagement enrichment and care.
We are currently seeking compassionate reliable and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in the Duluth MN area. This role offers both full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time (up to 30 hours/week) opportunities with flexible scheduling and ongoing training provided.
Support individuals with daily living activities including personal care household tasks and meal preparation.
Assist with budgeting medication administration and goal achievement.
Transport and accompany individuals to community outings recreational events and faith-based activities. (Company vehicles provided.)
Ensure a safe supportive environment while implementing behavior support strategies.
Foster independence self-esteem and community inclusion in all activities.
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass a Department of Human Services (DHS) background check
Preferred:
Previous experience or training in supporting individuals with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities (not required comprehensive training is provided)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for helping others and making a positive impact
Level I DSP:
Weekday Rate: $18.00/hour
Weekend Rate: $19.00/hour
Weekday Shifts: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM 10:00 PM
Weekend Shifts: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM 10:00 PM
Note: All staff are required to work one shift every other weekend.
