Description

Apt Resources is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Technology Senior Expert CCGT Asset Power Sector to lead the performance management and optimization of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) assets. This role involves implementing advanced operational strategies and innovative technologies to enhance efficiency ensure regulatory compliance and maximize asset profitability.

The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning asset management practices with organizational sustainability and environmental objectives. Additionally the role requires strong collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement innovation and long-term value creation across the CCGT portfolio.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee the daily operations of CCGT assets to ensure they function efficiently reliably and comply with corporate quality standards.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to optimize the efficiency and productivity of CCGT assets employing advanced management practices and technologies. Embrace and integrate innovative technologies to boost operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Direct the maintenance programs for CCGT assets ensuring all maintenance tasks are planned and carried out to reduce downtime and prolong asset life.
  • Guarantee that all CCGT operations adhere to local and international regulatory standards keeping current with industry regulations and requirements.
  • Establish and implement sustainability practices in the management of CCGT assets to reduce environmental impacts and support long-term sustainability.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders such as regulators industry leaders and technology providers to support the operations and growth of CCGT assets.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of CCGT assets ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives and the asset management strategy developed by the Asset Management Manager - International.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for any performance issues and create practical plans to tackle problems and enhance asset efficiency and profitability.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Finance Engineering or Business from a reputable university with a preference for the candidates holding an MBA.
  • 10 years of experience in similar roles in large companies of which at least 4 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.
  • Solid people management skills.
  • Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors emerging trends technologies and key players.
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders senior executives management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
