Job Description

Bracknell Grade BG-J (SCP 3-6) 24027 - 25183 pa full time equivalent. Depending on experience

(Actual salary: 12987 - 13611 plus 381.59 London Weighting)

Up to 20 hours per week. Split shift available.

All-year contract with 25 days holiday.

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a professional and self-motivated Site Controller to help ensure the provision of an efficient well-maintained site and a safe pleasant environment for staff pupils and visitors due to the retirement of our current Site Controller.

Whitegrove Primary School is a large and friendly primary school in Warfield on the edge of Bracknell. We are looking for a cheerful enthusiastic hardworking and committed person to join our successful team

This is a varied role which will cover site security maintenance and the upkeep of facilities. You will also be expected to adhere to good health and safety and compliancy practices and conduct regular health and safety checks throughout the working week.

The candidate will:

  • take pride in the school indoor and outdoor environment.
  • have substantial experience of premises caretaking preferably in an education context.
  • provide day-to-day facilities support including site maintenance safety support and cleaning.
  • be able to carry out building maintenance tasks and minor repair work.
  • have good communication skills with a good level of spoken English.
  • be prepared to undertake statutory Health & Safety and other training in line with the requirements of the role.
  • be willing to be a key holder for the school and partake in opening and locking of the premises.

The working hours can be negotiated upon application and for the right candidate but would be a minimum of 20 hours per week. There may be the opportunity for additional overtime. If you have excellent interpersonal skills can manage and prioritise your time effectively and are willing to learn new skills we would be delighted to hear from you.
