VetPartners Australia Pty Ltd is seeking anEmergency Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis at Sydney Veterinary Emergency & Specialists (SVES) located in Rosebery NSW.

The Role:

SVES is seeking a passionate and skilled Full-Time Emergency Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is driven by patient care client communication and professional development. As a part-time member of our emergency and critical care team you will play an essential role in triaging emergency cases assisting with a variety of procedures and providing vital support to both our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage and prioritise emergency cases
  • Assist in emergency and critical care procedures including anaesthesia IV catheter placement radiographs and intensive monitoring
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for emergency and critical patients
  • Work closely with emergency clinicians and specialists to ensure seamless patient care
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners providing updates and reassurance during stressful situations
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment supporting both clinical and operational needs

About You:

To be suitable for this role you need to hold either a Certificate IV plus 1 year of experience Certificate III plus 2 years of experience or a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. Experience in an Emergency and Critical Care or Referral setting is preferable.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to manage their time effectively in a busy fast-paced environment
  • Be passionate about animal care and committed to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Be willing to work overnight shifts as required
