Job Summary:
The Safe School Security position is under the supervision of the building administrator. The Safe School Security person will have daily duties which will include visibility outside before and after school greeting students and parents as they arrive and some crossing guard duties and passing periods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- The Kuna School District is looking for positive upbeat individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle minor discipline issues record incidents and notify classroom teacher or Student Support Manager as appropriate.
- Assist in the implementation of programs/activities to promote a safe positive school culture.
- Monitor hallways and classrooms to increase student on-task time ensure student safety and reduce vandalism and other inappropriate behaviors.
- Assist with lunch recess duty coverage. Pro-active work to increase positive playground activities.
- Direct lunchtime activities for students.
- Perform such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Deal with students parents staff and others in a positive encouraging manner.
- Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
