POSITION SUMMARY:
Conduct classroom and hands-on training utilizing proper instructional techniques practices on the following topics:
AC/DC Electricity & Digital Electronics
VFD Digital Drives
Ladder diagram reading and design
Industrial Mechanics Hydraulics Pneumatics Mechanical Drives
Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching Excellence and Program Innovation
Teach assigned courses in discipline; facilitate the classroom instructional process
Work to develop and improve curriculum maintaining industry relevance
Select texts supplemental documents equipment supplies and other learning resources
use current technology in preparation creation and delivery of instruction
create and revise courses and/or curricula as needed
maintain updated course syllabi.
Maintain attendance and grade records
Mentor and orient faculty and staff
Maintain required classroom and office hours
Work collaboratively with advisory committee
Organizational Culture
Maintain a solid understanding of the College goals and priorities as they relate to the student experience
Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development activities to ensure an active and engaged classroom experience for all students; maintain required certification and license
Act as a point of contact between the college faculty and VW personnel.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and program outcomes review and analyze assessment data compile reports and meet academic and administrative deadlines
Implement strategies to prevent potential conflicts and maintain a positive learning environment. Resolve any conflicts in a timely and effective manner
Ensure campus compliance with all federal state and regulatory bodies guidelines along with internal policies of the College
Holistic Student Support
Model compassionate professionalism as an example to students
Understand the idea that not everyone learns in the same way (i.e. to improve the learning we can tailor our strategies rather than just trying harder studying more)
Integrate programs activities and initiatives to optimize the student experience
Provide a list of student resources and introducing many possibilities for learning that go beyond the students current practices
Prompt students to select and try various study strategies
Monitor student progress to promote student success
Provide counseling resources as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a qualifying field or an Associates degree in a qualifying field with certifications or an Associates degree in a qualifying field and 2 years applicable work experience or nationally recognized certification within subject matterORby exception.
Preferred: Masters Degree in qualifying field.
Qualifying Fields: Electromechanical Engineering Mechatronics Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Engineering Engineering Technology Electromechanical Engineering Technology Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Work Experience: Advanced manufacturing industrial robotics electro-mechanical systems and mechanical maintenance.
Certifications: FANUC CERT Handling Tool Operations & Programming certificate FANUC Certified Robot Operator: FCR-01 FCR-02 FANUC Certified Robot Technician: FCR-T1 FCR-T2 NOCTI certified FANUC Instructor
Higher education teaching experience is a plus.

Assistant Professor: $45040 - $56300
Instructor: $40502 - $49610
