Job Description
As a Power System Engineer you will be responsible for owning the power and energy consumption models provide inputs to power architecture and conduct power consumption characterization on multiple projects. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary groups including Product Design Industrial Design Hardware Engineering Software Engineering Reliability and Operations to drive key aspects of engineering of consumer electronics products. You will conduct testing and optimization cycles of complex embedded systems in different use-cases. You will be expected to write/update code to interface lab equipment to computers and write scripts to automate the testing. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of power engineering analog electronics and microprocessor architecture.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
Interact with cross functional engineering teams across the company
Dive deep into power related issues and work with cross functional teams to solve them
Participate in schematic and layout reviews
Address all aspects of power technology readiness including manufacturability.
Help design and deliver innovative power technology to products.
- 4 years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with prototyping and implementation
- Masters degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
