Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing team and ensure the reliability performance and stability of our autonomous drone and command-and-control systems. You will lead QA efforts design test strategies and work closely with our software hardware and operations teams to deliver high-quality mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and maintain comprehensive test strategies (manual and automated) for Paladins drone platforms and backend services.
- Lead the QA process across releases including test planning execution and reporting.
- Own end-to-end testing of mobile apps web apps APIs and embedded systems.
- Build and scale automated test frameworks and CI pipelines for regression and integration testing.
- Identify and log bugs in a clear and reproducible manner; work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Drive quality improvements throughout the SDLC by influencing testability in architecture and design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and reliability standards applicable to autonomous systems.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and establish QA best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in software QA with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven experience in testing embedded systems robotics IoT or autonomous platforms.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies tools and processes.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium Cypress Appium or custom Python-based frameworks.
- Experience in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman Swagger or automated suites.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced agile startup environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with drone platforms flight software or robotics.
- Exposure to cloud services (AWS Azure GCP).
- Understanding of networking protocols and video streaming technologies.
- ISTQB or similar certification.
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
