Job description
As a key part of the Corporate Tax Team this role contributes to meeting the income tax reporting and compliance obligations of Sun Life Financial and its Canadian subsidiaries.
In this role you will help the Tax Risk Management team collect and organize documents and data needed to comply with government requirements around tax attribute calculations.
Preferred skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Qualifications
- Background in finance or business preferred. An understanding of tax financial and legal documents an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and organization of historical tax financial and legal documents (Financial Statements Trial Balances Tax Returns Government Communications etc.)
- Assist in tracking the status of documents collected and missing
- Managing communication with internal or external stakeholders where needed
- Interpreting and transcribing select contents of the documents to assist in downstream use of their information
- Provide support as needed to other members of the tax team
The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
