The Specialty Care Clinic located in Athens is seeking a medical assistant. The medical assistant responsibilities will include but are not limited to calling and greeting clinic patients reviewing patient medical history and information entering data and assuring correct paperwork is present. Collect blood or other laboratory specimens as directed by nursing staff prepare and log specimens. Requires good customer service and computer skills. Phlebotomy/lab draw experience is a must.
Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with one (1) year experience in a related field; or High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in medical assisting; or Two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Medical Assistant 1 (HCT100) or position equivalent.
Annual salary $39000 plus generous benefits including 13 paid holidays annual and sick leave health insurance and retirement plans.
