DescriptionApt Resources is seeking an experienced Asset Management Senior Expert in the Power and Water sector to join a prominent organization. This pivotal role will involve providing strategic guidance and technical expertise in the management of assets within the power and water sectors. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to optimize asset performance ensure compliance with regulations and drive improvements across the operational landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of power and water assets.
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to asset performance.
- Oversee the evaluation and analysis of asset performance data to drive decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align asset management practices with organizational objectives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive asset management documentation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations concerning asset management practices.
- Provide technical support and training to personnel on asset management methodologies.
- Support and contribute to all aspects of planning budgeting reporting and controlling including taking corrective cost actions for significant projects.
- Be involved in the yearly budget preparation for the Asset Management department and also for each local asset.
Requirements - A bachelors degree in engineering from a reputable university with a preference for the candidates holding an MBA or any professional certificates; ACCA CFA etc.
- 12 years of experience in similar roles in large and preferably multi-national companies of which at least 4 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.
- Solid people management skills.
- Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors emerging trends technologies and key players.
- Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders senior executives management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
