Were looking for aTalent Acquisition & Assessment Specialistto join a great team here at Northern. This is a unique opportunity to work across the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and engaging candidates to delivering psychometric assessments giving you a comprehensive view of how we bring top talent into our Traincrew teams.

In this hybrid role youll support both recruitment campaigns and our in-house assessment centre playing a vital part in ensuring we attract assess and select the very best candidates. Youll also provide contingency and cross-functional support across the team making this a great opportunity to broaden your skills and make a real impact.

What youll be doing:

  • End-to-End Recruitment:Manage campaigns from job posting to offer stage supporting hiring managers and ensuring a smooth inclusive candidate experience.
  • Assessment Delivery:Administer and support psychometric testing and interviews particularly for safety-critical roles like Train Drivers.
  • Data & Process Management:Maintain accurate records support reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Candidate Communication:Guide candidates through the recruitment and assessment process providing clear feedback and support.
  • Team Collaboration:Work closely with the wider Talent Acquisition team to provide flexible support and ensure seamless delivery across all recruitment activities.

About you:

Youre organised proactive and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy working with people have a keen eye for detail and are confident managing multiple priorities.

  • Experience in recruitment or assessment (in-house or agency).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence using recruitment systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to fairness inclusion and delivering a great candidate experience.
  • (Desirable) Experience with psychometric testing or occupational assessments.
