Whats on offer
We currently have a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician to join the team at Fulton Hogan based at our Narangba laboratory. This position will suit either an entry level or experienced candidate looking to take the next step in their career.
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor you will be responsible for the testing of asphalt aggregates & PMB to relevant standard methods in our NATA Laboratory. Including:
- Sampling and testing asphalt aggregates and bitumen including onsite sampling.
- The handling and management of chemicals in line with relevant standards.
- Management of reporting record keeping and calibrations including reporting non-conforming product.
- Conducting procedures safely and maintain good housekeeping of laboratory and surrounds.
- Providing technical support to production departments.
To be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience:
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Professional communication written and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety quality punctuality reliability respect for others and to work as part of an efficient team
- Valid Drivers Licence.
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (advantageous).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
This position will require you to work nightshift and weekends and may require travel.
