Job Description

Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate and innovative educator to join our team as a High School Pathways Teacher specializing in Health and the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) course Medical Detectives. This position is part of our Health Pathways initiatives aimed at preparing students for future success in healthcare and biomedical Responsibilities:Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state health education standards and PLTWs Medical Detectives project-based learning strategies to develop students critical thinking problem-solving and collaboration a classroom environment that supports student inquiry hands-on learning and exploration of careers in health PLTW training and materials to effectively teach Medical Detectives a STEM-focused curriculum exploring the human body medical careers disease investigation and biomedical student progress and provide timely constructive with colleagues in science and health departments to support cross-disciplinary a safe and organized classroom environment with proper use of lab equipment and instructional school and district initiatives related to college and career required professional development including PLTW Core Training (if not yet completed).Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student progress and program goals.
