80% Event Budgeting Cost Tracking and Billing
Partner closely with management to ensure all projects accurately reflect revenue and gross profit with timely updates in internal systems.
Reconcile project financials in alignment with client/vendor agreements and internal closing procedures.
Prepare review and issue client invoices in accordance with contractual terms to maintain positive cash flow.
Collaborate with clients account teams and Accounts Receivable to resolve and collect on past-due invoices.
Ensure adherence to all applicable financial policies and procedures.
Provide regular financial updates to Event Management throughout the project lifecycle.
With guidance analyze project data to identify and report opportunities to improve project profitability.
Support Account Teams in developing and maintaining detailed project budgets.
20% Contract Compliance and Financial Documentation
Offer guidance on internal contract policies to Account Teams Event Management and Sales ensuring understanding of financial requirements.
Monitor adherence to financial terms outlined in project Letters of Agreement Statements of Work and other contractual documents.
Maintain accurate and complete financial documentation in compliance with GAAP standards and audit requirements.
Collaborate with internal audit teams external auditors and client auditors as needed during financial reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in accounting finance or general business or a minimum two years related experience in an accounting or finance function
Knowledge of financial practices principles processes and systems preferably in a corporate environment
Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
Strong oral and written communication skills
Financial analysis experience is a plus
Travel may be required as needed to assist in various capacities such as: on-site client operations remote client meetings or branch office visits
