The primary focus of these roles is to design and develop LLM-based solutions that can proactively deliver the most relevant and important content to our customers. Key job responsibilities
- Define and drive the strategic roadmap for the Alexa proactive experiences (GENIE) team aligning with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Be the Single Point of Contact between Alexa Proactive Experience team and domains (Alexa Shopping AGI-Info etc) Alexa Devices and Alexa Mobile teams.
- Manage the end-to-end program lifecycle including planning scheduling risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Manage a team of Individual Contributors (SDEs QA engineers).
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements prioritize initiatives and ensure successful program execution.
- Identify and mitigate risks dependencies and bottlenecks; escalate issues and drive resolution as needed.
- Develop detailed project plans track progress against milestones and provide regular status updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate decision-making processes driving alignment and consensus across various teams and stakeholders.
- Continuously improve processes tools and methodologies to enhance program delivery efficiency and quality.
- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
