Job Description
Lifesteps a local human services agency in Butler PA is currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Services Director to oversee the Behavioral Services program at Lifesteps.
The Director is responsible for the training development and quality assurances of the Behavior Specialists and Behavior Support staff and any contracted service delivery when applicable. The Director ensures compliance with 6100 and 6400 regulations and all agency policies and procedures.
The Behavior Specialist Director promotes individual health safety and quality of life through behavioral skill development. The position is responsible for oversight of : annual individual assessments social emotional plans functional behavioral analyses behavior plans restrictive procedures and associated documentation necessary for tracking plan implementation.
The Director may travel throughout western PA to train staff members on behavioral plans or best practices.
The role is full-time Monday to Friday working 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with on-call duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters Degree in Human Services Psychology Sociology Education Special Education or a related field
- 5 years experience working directly with persons with disabilities the elderly or children and youth
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid drivers license and auto insurance and the ability to travel for business using personal vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds by yourself
- Ability to obtain acceptable clearances
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Board certification in Applied Behavior Analysis - ABA
- Experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
