Job Description
- Job-Type: Part-time
- Caseload: To be decided.
- Start Date: July 7 2025
- End Date: July 31 2025
- Days: Monday to Thursday
- Hours: 8:30 AM 12:00 PM (flexible)
- Estimated Weekly Hours: 16-20 hours
- Open to both in-person and virtual options.
- Schedule will depend on IEP recommendations.
- Graduation from an accredited program of physical therapy
- Valid Connecticut state Physical Therapy license
- Two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist
- Conduct appropriate evaluation of students referred for related services under IDEA and prepare written reports of the evaluations and findings
- Participate in meetings as member of the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in development of IEP or 504 plans for eligible students
- Provide direct and indirect physical therapy in educational settings/least restrictive environments to children
- Collaborate with other school personnel regarding physical therapy and the students needs
- Delegate activities to teachers parents and paraprofessionals
- Train/instruct teachers parents and paraprofessionals in delegated techniques and equipment use
- Maintain records of service provided
- Lift transfer and position children and equipment as necessary
