Compensation: $17.86 - $17.86/hour

Tessera is seeking a motivated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Worker with a positive and helpful attitude. This is a temporary position and is expected to run up to but no longer than November 30 2025.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Cut grass using walking-type or commercial grade riding mowers.

• Trim hedges and edges around walkways flowerbeds and wells using hedge trimmers clippers and edging tools.

• Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other hand tools.

• Shall water all grass trees shrubs flowerbeds and improve areas when needed. May include watering lawn and shrubs during dry periods using a hose or activating sprinkler system.

• Trimming shall be performed in conjunction with grass cutting at all locations identified. Clippings shall not be allowed on surfaced areas.

• Prior to mowing the employee shall pick up and remove all rubbish debris and trash which includes but is not limited to rocks paper pinecones limbs and other portable objects within the maintenance area; and all trash paper and limbs lodged in shrubs hedges fences and along foundation walls.

• Mowing debris and clippings shall be removed from surfaced areas immediately after completion of mowing operations. To include picking up and carting away leaves paper or other litter. Water shall not be used to remove clippings from roadways or other paved areas.

• Trim and prune shrubs ground covers native plants and trees according to their natural growth habit for proper health attractive appearance in the appropriate season.

• Shall remove fallen trees limbs and debris on improved grounds after periods of heavy wind or rainfall. Ability to multi-task throughout the workday.

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of safe work practices.

• Ability to perform heavy physical labor.

• Ability to read understand and follow technical manuals.

• Demonstrate ability to multi-task throughout workday with constant interruptions.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

• Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.

• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
