Job Title: Assistant Soccer Coach

JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing the Soccer program at the assigned school. The position assists with conducting practices motivating students and instructing student-athletes on in-game strategies and techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties of this position include the following.
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
2. Assists the head coach with instructing players in the rules regulations equipment and techniques of the sport.
3. Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
4. Assesses players skills monitors players during competition and practice and keeps the head Soccer coach informed of students athletic performance.
5. Assists with determining game strategy.
6. Assists the head coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition.
7. Follows established procedures in the event of an athletes injury.
8. Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players officials and spectators.
9. Maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security.
10. Distributes equipment supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach.
11. Assists the head coach with submitting a list of award winners at the end of the season.
12. Participates in special activities including parents night banquets award nights and pep assemblies.
13. Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms emergency data cards and other related records.
14. Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
15. Attends work regularly and is punctual.
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marginal duties of this position include the following.
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Attends in-service training and staff meetings as needed.
2. Sanitizes and cleans equipment.
3. Inspects facilities and athletic fields for health and safety concerns.
4. Chaperones/supervises athletic events as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
All school employees have some responsibility for supervising students and assisting in maintaining a safe environment.

Certificates as determined by the District and OSAA. Ability to obtain a valid CPR/First Aid card Oklahoma Drivers License coaching certification through the National Federation of High Schools and/or the American Sport Education Program bloodborne pathogen training and blood spill training.
Preferred CDL training.

The work environment is a standard football field and other athletic practice and event settings.
Thenoise level in the work environment is usually moderate but occasionally high depending on the student population and activities.
