The Bar Council represents approximately 18000 barristers in England and Wales. It promotes the Bars high-quality specialist advocacy and advisory services; fair access to justice for all; the highest standards of ethics equality and diversity across the profession; and the development of business opportunities for barristers at home and abroad.
The Bar Council is the governing body and the Approved Regulator for the Bar of England and Wales. It discharges its regulatory functions through the independent Bar Standards Board.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Policy Assistant to support our Policy team. The Policy Assistants work on projects throughout the Bar Councils Policy team and support the delivery of a wider programme of work to meet the teams commitments in its various business plans. This role will specifically support the Director of Policy and each of the following teams within the Policy team:
