Library Technician - St. Philip
C.U.P.E. 2357 (10 month Level 5)
Part-time 0.50 FTE position

Under the direction of the Principal the Library Technician:
Operates the school Learning Commons and provides services in an automated/digital environment to meet the needs of staff and students
Promotes authors books literacy technology and holds special events
Performs administrative functions associated with the Learning Commons and/or school
Coordinates volunteers activities
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:
Degree/diploma in relevant field (i.e. Library Technician Information Science etc)
2 years of related experience
Expertise with Insignia (or similar library software systems) Google Suite computer hardware and software mobile technology various AV equipment
Comfortable learning and promoting new technologies (3D printing robotics coding cricut etc.)
Positive team player and ability to work independently as well
Excellent organizational interpersonal oral and written communication skills
Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
This is a permanent 10 month position. The annual full time salary range is $47612 - $51304 which will be prorated as applicable to reflect a part-time 0.50 FTE position . An employee benefits and pension package is also provided.
The anticipated start date for this position will be August 25 2025.
