REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education Assistant Director of Special Education Building Principal(s)ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:This position is accountable for consultation observation assessment supervision evaluations and behavior plan development to support teachers related service professionals building principals and paraprofessionals. The BCBA is a clinician who educates observes assesses and supervises the behavioral application and implementation of behaviorally based interventions within the educational environment. The BCBA must have a solid knowledge of the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis including general behavioral assessment and Ethical Standards in Behavior DUTIES:Administers conducts evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment functional behavior appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to all for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of goals and routine consultation to school staff for interventions based on published research and the consistent application and implementation of behavioral interventions to ensure behavioral interventions and coaching strategies for teachers related service providers and and maintain behavior intervention in home ABA parent training as recommended during school in Team meetings and participate in the eligibility process and IEP individualized goals and objectives for educational as needed on the RtI teams at assigned schools at the Tier III extenuating cases BCBA may be called in for consultation modeling and observation through agreement with the building principal and special education with parents/guardians to discuss student Federal and state regulations and district procedures for special education meet time-lines and ensure a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).Supervise and direct as such duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Special must hold the appropriate BCBA MA certification
